Easy Way to root Samsung Galaxy Ace on Gingerbread 2.3.3?

After upgrading your Samsung Ace to Gingerbread 2.3.3, here comes good news for you. Now you can root your Samsung Galaxy Ace on Gingerbread 2.3.3.But you must note you can only root Samsung Galaxy Ace on Gingerbread XXKP9 2.3.3.Here’s a very simple guide to root your Samsung Galaxy Ace on 2.3.3 but for users who don’t know what is rooting and what are the benefits of rooting?  Rooting is actually about accessing the System files of your Android Phone. By rooting your Device you can access the System files, Install Custom Rom Files and also install Third Party applications. This will make your Tablet more attractive and amazing features. Rooting will neither unlocks your Android phone nor will make Android Market free. It simply allows you to run applications such as Titanium Backup, Shootme etc. as well as uninstall system applications like MediaScape or install system applications such as the updated custom honeycomb, YouTube application and many other Applications.

Pre-root Instructions:This will VOID your warranty, though the warranty can be claimed after un rooting the device.This is a Factory-Reset for your Tablet. So you can Sync your Contacts with Google Contact service or Backup rest of messages, Phone by using MyBackup Pro. Make sure to copy the Contents of SD card to your PC as it will remove the cache from your Memory card.Ensure that you have installed the KIES on your Device and it should be the latest Kies which is debuted as KiES2.Before proceeding Please ensure that your tablet has at least 50% battery so that it can’t interrupt the rooting process.As the rooting process it will wipe your cache, so all your APN settings will also be reset. Download XXKP9 Gingerbread 2.3.3 Rooting package and don’t extract.


Connect your Samsung with Pc and select storage mode on your Device.


Place downloaded file on the root of your SD card.


Remove Samsung Galaxy Ace from Pc and switch it off.


Switch on your Device in recovery Mode by holding the Middle button and then Power ON the device by pressing the Power ON button.



After doing this, you will see your Device in recovery mode. If your device starts normally than enter the recovery mode again.


In recovery mode select update from SD Card and the select the AceGingerbread2.3.3Root.zip.


After selecting it you will see that Rooting process will be started and after its successful completion your Device will be rebooted. This may take 5-7 minutes.


As the process completed, it will again reboot in recovery mode, this time select reboot in normal mode.


So , here you go, you have successfully rooted your Samsung GalaxyAce on XXKP9 2.3.3.

Install Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread XWJVH ROM In Samsung Galaxy S

Samsung Galaxy S users find themselves again in Luck because there is a new update Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread (XWJVH) for Samsung Galaxy S. Previously; A new version XWJVH Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM is leaked for the Samsung Galaxy s i9000. This version is said to be more stable and smooth. Gingerbread was announced for the Android Devices of latest Version but luckily the Dev team On XDA-Developers is able to Update Samsung galaxy SI9000 to Gingerbread 2.3.3.


Following are details of the leaked version.

Before Proceeding make sure that you have the enough battery Power to flash a new Rom.


Download all the Files which are required for flashing gingerbread on your Samsung Galaxy S I9000.


Download Android 2.3.3 XWJVH ROM and extract the contents using password samfirmware.com. [Credits to samfirmware.com for uploading the leaked ROM]


Run the ODIN (previously downloaded)


Switch off your Samsung Galaxy S i9000


Put the phone into “Download mode”. To do it, press and hold “Volume Down” button, “Power” button, and “Home” key simultaneously for few seconds. It should boot into “Download Mode” in which you will see a yellow android character with a sweeper with “DON’T TURN OFF THE TARGET” message.


Now Connect the Phone with PC via USB Cable.


When ODIN will be Opened, A box will be turned to yellow.



Click ‘PDA’ button in ODIN, browse and select the ‘JVH_JV3_JPO.tar’ file that you earlier downloaded.


Click ‘PIT’ button, browse and select the PIT file that you downloaded.


Make sure ONLY  ‘Auto Reboot’ and ‘F.Reset Time’ checked in options.


Now Click on Start and Sit back and Relax.



After successful flashing, you will see message “PASS” in green color in the ODIN interface.



Your Phone will be rebooted and you can disconnect the Samsung Galaxy from PC.


Congrats! You have successfully installed Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread XWJVH on your Samsung Galaxy S i9000.


To Check this Go to


Applications>Settings>about Phone>Firmware Version


And the Firmware Version should be 2.3.3 XWJVH

Instructions:

Connect Galaxy Tab with your PC via USB Cable.

Download the Rooting tool.

Open the Command Prompt and change directory to Downloaded rooting tool folder (cd command).

Enter the following commands;

adb push allidoiswin.zip /sdcard/allidoiswin.zip

adb reboot recovery

It will take your Galaxy Tab to recovery mode.

In the ‘Recovery mode’, go to ‘apply update from /sdcard’ and then select the allidoiswin.zip file.

Viola! That’s it! You have rooted your S

Although the powerful new Galaxy S II is just one among Samsung’s scores of handsets, it’s an important one, and the company is happy to report that it’s blowing up. It’s just hit 200,000 pre-orders in Korea, Samsung’s home market, and will likely pile up a couple million sales there before its day in the sun is over. And although US release information isn’t available yet, I’ve seen a good amount of chatter on mobile sites from excited users.
